Students will collaborate, share ideas, and express their unique style in a supportive, social environment.
We’ll also look at simple ways to share your creations on platforms like YouTube, Instagram, and TikTok as a way to celebrate your work with friends, family, and the Spec Lab community. By the end of the session, each student will have a video project that showcases their music and creativity.

Composing for Media
(music for games/film trailers/tv/socials)
This is the hidden world that most people hear when they watch an amazing film trailer, suspenseful crime drama, or an otherworldly game. Or, even just a cool beat! However, most people never “see” how that world works. Composing for Media is about matching the emotional content of moving pictures. It’s a wonderful course regardless of your musical background, but experience using a DAW is preferred. Side note: This is also a great course for anyone learning to produce beats, create hip hop, EDM, or any other electronic music based genres, as they ALL use the same production techniques.
