Spec Lab Films is

excited to announce:

Boys Don’t Wear Dresses was screened for Johnson & Johnson’s Transgender Day of Visibility global event on March 31st, 2021.

This event (exclusive to J & J’s employees) was designed to advocate and educate their employees about the LGBQT+ communities to help bring more awareness and acceptance within J & J.

Their *“Open & Out” & “Alliance for Diverse Abilities”* employee resource groups saw our film and immediately reached out to Jason Weissbrod, the film’s director & co-founder of Spectrum Laboratory.

They expressed how much they loved the film, saying it was a “breath of fresh air” and wanted to share the film with their J & J families. In addition to screening Boys Don’t Wear Dresses, J & J conducted an interview with the films creators: Aloni Schorin & Jason Weissbrod, which aired directly after the film.

Aloni & Jason set out to make a film that not only showcases the amazing diverse, inclusive talent at Spectrum Laboratory, but also speaks true to many of the struggles that autistic and LGBQT+ individuals encounter in their lives.

We hope this film keeps positive conversations going and inspires others to be their true selves. Spectrum Laboratory is thrilled that our coming of age family friendly fairy tale is getting the exposure and love we all hoped for!

Aloni Schorin, producer, co-writer and inspiration behind the story, is very proud that her film is getting this kind of recognition. Watch Aloni Schorin's testimonial for Spec Labs below:
